I know it’s been ages since an update, but here’s a quickie.
I was playing with the FaceBook API and decided to add the little like button that you might notice at the bottom of my page.
Feel free to hit like on anything you err, like..
No Comments »I was bored and fancied a play in Final Cut.
I had a few clips on my MacBook I recorded from my Dazzle so I made a minitage.
I don’t normally post about cars, but this one particularly stood out to me. I found this via FatLace on their “HellaFlush” blog.
I don’t really need to say much more do I?

Enjoy.
If this doesn’t win something for UI design, I don’t know what will.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE TYPES OF SELLERS.
Right, just a warning. I know it’s unbelievably stupid of me to buy credits from such sites, I don’t know why I did.
But anyway.
Dont buy from any site with the company name of:
“JIANDAN INT’L NETWORK SALES CO LTD”
They steal credit card information, buy in game credits with them, then they sell them, then shortly after, your account will get banned because the person who’s credit card it is will dispute it and your account will get banned because of this.

I am in dispute with PayPal at the moment.

No Comments »I’ve seen a few bad articles regarding FaceBook recently, the subjects they mainly focus on are the annoying fan pages/apps, relationships e.t.c. I’d just like to add a few things to the list if that is okay with you (assuming it is, I’m posting it anyway, if you have a problem with it, go post it on your wall or something).
The main thing that makes my blood boil is status’ that are aimed purely for one person (but aren’t really..), it’s basically where someone will post “I love [suchandsuch] so much xoxoxxxooo!!!111one11″, seriously? Tell it to their face, or not at-all. How cheap is that? Nobody cares, you didn’t need to publicly post it on their wall, for me, people do it because they are insecure and they do it to make anybody who may be interested in that certain person know you are definitely taken. Christ sake, put it in a private message at-least.
The second type of status is where people will write in the third person of themselves, for example “Jake Johnson went to the cinema today”, Firstly, how many people would actually care about this? Secondly, why is it written in the third person? That’s weird, are you some kind of schizophrenic? or are you trying to look like you are famous and have somebody else updating your FaceBook for you? Well, just stop it.
Okay, I hate those groups which are just linked to a page where you have to fill out serveys to see a certain image which isn’t funny or interesting in any way possible, I can spot them a mile off. For example “OMG, I cried with laughter when i saw what this girl got tattooed on her back!”. Just click ignore. Why would you want to “Like” that? Your stupidity is making people money.
Some groups frustrate me so much I feel the need to comment on them. I cannot do this without liking the group. How stupid is that? Maybe I want to find out a bit more information about the group before liking the group!?, That’s like having to ask somebody to marry them to ask them on a date, sort it out FaceBook!
FarmVille, MyKitchen, TopFriends, Daily Photos, Horroscopes… Dare I say anymore?
Recently I’ve seen a few (very simple) FaceBook exploits.
Here
I’m not 100% on Mark Zukerburg.
I don’t like the fact the government may also use it to keep tabs on us, I’m not hiding anything. It’s just again, more of ‘the big brother state’ (referred to in previous post).
If anybody would like to add anything else. Please feel free to leave a comment.
1 Comment »I’ve been looking into Peter Mandleson’s proposal to disconnect the internet connections of users who break copyright laws.
There are reasons for and against this argument (like most arguments), but I am going to be very subjective towards piracy, because I’m like that.
Firstly, How the hell are the government going to know if we are commiting piracy, yes you can say they can see if we are using the P2P networks (BitTorrent, LimeWire…), although – this isn’t illegal. You can freely share legit files over P2P networks without committing piracy, so the only way they would be able to tell if we are breaking copyright laws is physically looking at the files. So that’s every email, web page, IM convocation… Surely this is a huge waste of our money? and not only that! It’s a huge breech of privacy.
“The Big Brother State” comes into play here.
Even if they still do pull the plug on our internet – What the hell are they going to do to stop me taking a hard drive around my friends house full of music, give him all of my music and take all of his.
How will you stop that Mandleson? Confiscate every USB cable? I’ll just use FireWire.
The main thing that makes me chuckle about this whole proposal is that, if they do ban my internet for whatever reason, I’ll connect to next-doors. They ban theirs, I’ll walk down the end of my street with my laptop, it’s an endless chain.
Dan Bull’s open letter is definitely worth a watch.
Thought I’d put that out there. Reminds me or a teacher who used to have all three at once, he was so powerful.

“The Orbit” is supposed to be London’s answer to the Eiffel Tower or The Statue of Liberty, I think it looks like some kind of broken roller coaster and will not ever be as iconic as The Statue of Liberty or The Eiffel Tower.
What are peoples views?
