Lots and lots of stuff!

Hey!

Right, again, I’ve left it absolutely ages.
I’ve been so busy and only just really thought about posting an update.

So, I’ve been doing quite a bit of photography since getting back from filming in Norfolk.

I’ve done a band promo shoot where Karl and I light painted behind the band to create a unique style.

Take a peek at a few of my faves.

I’ll update in the next 2 weeks, PROMISE!

Back from a week of filming!

And i’ve been working on something a bit different for my site..

A tad more colorful, but i’m still not sure about it to be honest…

Anyway. I’ve just got back from a week of film at St. Gabriels church, we wrote and planned a shoot and over last week we filmed it. Check justlikethat’s website for more info and when the film is edited and such – I will be posting it here and on the production blog.

Our story was set at night and obviously, we had to film during the day to get it all finished in time.

So we had to gel/black out windows and pretty much do whatever we could to get it to look like night time.

Heres a shot of the monitor when we was setting up the lighting.

(The time on screen is accurate and it was very sunny day)

Luckily the sun coming through the window on the left was slightly being blocked by a roof above it, but the skylight at the end of the corridoor needed to be sorted, we did this with 2 layers of cooling gel, this reduced light level and gave it that ‘moon lit’ feel.

We also double geled the window on the lefthand side and blasted some soft light from a 2000w light, which was also blue geled.

The iPad…

So, after Apple’s Keynotes which the fleet of Apple fanboy’s get excited about, they released a “Big iPod Touch” called the iPad. To be completely honest, I think this needed to happen ages ago. The iPhone was kind of used as a sandbox for this technology.
Yes, I know – Apple didn’t invent the touch screen but I think they certainly re-invented it. The way their UI works with the multi-touch sensors is so natural. I just can’t wait for the next iMac and Apple displays to have this integrated in them all I can say is: Goodbye Wacom.

I know come people have been complaining about the fact it doesn’t have a usb port although, do you really need it? Even though you can receive an email on the thing, or receive it via blue tooth? Plus, the whole design of the thing is that it can be used comfortably by everyone, would this be so with a huge memory stick sticking out the side of the thing?? plus, I snap countless usb dongles because i bend them while they are in my laptop, let alone in an iPad!

What do you think about the iPad and it’s lack of USB?

BTW: check out my new iPad forum: http://theipadzone.net/

Updates…

As you may or have may not seen, my site has been under the hammer. No, not up for auction, under construction… yeah, anyway, basically I’ve added the “floaty” style nav on the right hand side along with a few pages, which I should soon flood full of content.
I’ve also recently added a comments form so you can tell me the sheer amount of mis spellings and how much of an idiot I really am at the click of a button.

And i’ve slightly changed my background (which used to be a grass texture) into a nice (overused) diagonal line texture, I think this looks a bit better as the previous grass texture didn’t repeat properly (obviously).

Next on my list is to get the login sorted.
Might center the site.. what do you think?
Let me know if you come up with any ideas for the site (or even any ideas that you come up with and may make millions..)

To add to that…

I’ve added one more feed which is from my Flickr.
It does the same as the Last.fm feed, just with Flickr.

BTW: Soon I should actually be adding pages to my website to make it qualify as a proper website as of now it’s merely a page of random ramblings of a mad man.

RSS

I’ve just added a new feature to my blog which will allow you to stalk me even more (if you wish).

Basically, my blog fetches one listen from my Last.fm RSS feed and posts it as a blog post, then FaceBook fetches all of my blog posts so it’ll post to my FaceBook wall (rather annoying) I might have to stop it posting to my RSS somehow in the short (perhaps long) future.

For those who haven’t used Last.fm,i’d highly recommend it basically ’scrobbles’ all music you play and suggests you new music to play based on your history, Much like Apple’s “Genius” recent feature of iTunes.

For those who have got Last.fm – Give us an add. Me!

Thanks to SimplePie.
